이혜지 LEE, HYE JI
/ ɰi.ɦje.ʣ̥ʲi / [-ee.heji]
As in many traditions around the world, I go by various names.
Interpersonally known as Erica, reserving my Korean name for loved ones and family, I am an early career academic teaching and researching in Sociology, involved in a number of projects beyond my discipline.
My principle area of interest is in 'race' and decoloniality, employing a wide range of theoretical tools including Marxist thought, psychoanalysis, phenomenology and more broadly, the 'Critical Theory' strand of European Thought. I am currently exploring Eastern epistemologies, namely, 한국사상 (Korean Thought).
I am currently based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand).
